Party Favor Pack — Saddle Pad Kits for Birthday Guests

A party favor they actually use — during the party.

Each guest gets her own DIY saddle pad kit for model horses: pre-cut fabric, ribbons and threads, sealed in her own bag. No sewing, no scissors needed by the children, no mess.

It works two ways. Set it up as the party activity, around a table, and everyone goes home with something she made herself. Or hand the bags out at the door as take-home favours.

Twenty to thirty minutes, which is the point

We chose the saddle pad deliberately. It is long enough to feel like a real project and short enough that nobody drifts off before the cake. It fits exactly into that half hour when the games are done and the cake isn't ready.

Best for 7 to 10 year olds. From 7 with an adult at the table, from 9 on their own. For older children or a longer session, see our blanket pack instead.

What's in the box

• 8, 10 or 12 individual saddle pad kits, each sealed in its own bag
• Craft glue and precision applicators to share around the table — 2 of each for 8 guests, an extra applicator for 10, an extra glue and applicator for 12
• A large printed instruction sheet for whoever is running the activity

We choose the colours

You don't have to pick ten colour combinations. We put together a varied mix — pinks, blues, greens, neutrals — so that every bag is different and the children can swap and compare. If you'd like the mix to match a party theme, tell us in the order notes and we'll do our best.

You don't need a horse for every child

The finished saddle pad fits Schleich and CollectA model horses (scale 1:20). Two or three horses on the table are enough for everyone to try theirs on and take a photo — the guests take the piece home and use it on their own horse afterwards. Ordering

Handmade to order in our workshop. Please order at least two weeks before the party. If your date is tighter, email us first and we'll tell you honestly whether we can make it.
